Title: Software Engineer/Programmer - (Java/J2EE, RDBMS - Oracle/MS SQL)
Location: Santa Monica, CA/Dallas, TX/Remote or Telecommute with 40-50% travel to Santa Monica/Dallas
Duration: 5+ Months
Hourly Rate: DOE
 
Skills Required:

• 9+ years of years of IT/Software Development experience primarily in Java/J2EE environment.
• Ideal candidate for this position must have object oriented programming experience, with very strong Java /J2EE development skills in all tiers (Presentation, middle-tier and DB Tier).
• Individual should have worked with all levels/layers of Java/J2EE/database applications, and have excellent collaborative skills.
• Software Engineer should also have comprehensive SQL Server/Oracle and UML expertise, proven SOA design and implementation, and a scaled deployment background.
• Majority of the work involved would be customizing/extending an existing application/product so must be quick learner and has discipline to follow current standards and write extensions the best way possible.

 
*** The person needs to be a self- starter and work both independently and as a team member. Must be a quick learner with in depth ***

Additional Skill:

A good understanding of .Net technology is a plus.

Job Role:

He or she will interface with a Java and .Net development teams, and Professional Services team.

It is essential that he or she has excellent written and presentation skills.

Education: A BS/CS degree is required, and a MS is preferred.

NOTE: Must have at least Three years of US experience.
